Inspiring Through

Music and Education

At the JUMY Foundation, we believe music, art, and education are vital to younger generations’ growth and future. Guided by our family values, we support programs that inspire creativity, expand opportunity, and empower the next generation.

About The Foundation

The JUMY Foundation is a family foundation established in 2014, dedicated to nurturing the healthy development of the next generation. Rooted in the belief that music and the arts are essential to growth, creativity, and opportunity, we support education and cultural enrichment in meaningful ways.

Our first initiative, the J.Y. Park Piano Competition, was launched in partnership with the Department of Music at Western Connecticut State University (WCSU). Since its debut in 2014, this annual event has inspired young musicians by providing a stage to showcase their talent and pursue their dreams.

In 2016, we extended our reach internationally through a partnership with a school in rural Guatemala. While the project did not unfold as envisioned, it strengthened our determination to find impactful and lasting ways to support education.

In 2020, during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we introduced scholarships for WCSU music students, offering encouragement and support when it was most needed. That same year, we honored our family’s legacy by establishing academic awards for distinguished Korean linguistic scholars, in tribute to our grandfather.

Looking ahead, we are developing a work-study grant program to provide young students with financial support and opportunities for growth.

As a young and evolving foundation, we remain guided by our mission and family values: to foster creativity, education, and opportunity — and to continuously pursue causes that uplift and empower the next generation.
